Laxman Aelay carries an inspirational narrative. Having born in Kadirenigudem, aremote villagein
Andhra Pradesh in 1965, he learnt painting by observing the signboard artists.
He eventually started his career as a signboard artist in Hyderabad and later
joined Eenadu newspaper as an illustrator.In 1996 he obtained his bachelor’s
degree in Fine arts from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, College of
Fine Arts, Hyderabad. He soon started exhibiting his works across the country
and reached fame. His art is very rustic depicting financially poor folks of
his village, their lifestyle, culture and emotions.He hasdesigned National
emblem forTelangana. He has widely exhibited his works across the globe.
